FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Reporting to the Financial Director, as the controller you will be responsible for the accounting department, with 4 direct reports. You will coordinate the activities of his group to ensure the timely delivery of financial reports and the required quality. In addition, you should be an organized individual with proven ability to multitask, problem solve and prioritize workloads, all in an autonomous fashion.

Job Description:

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monthly, you will:

• Maintain proper accounting books: AP, AR, Payroll, etc.

• Produce financial reports

• Be responsible for various monthly reconciliations – balance sheet, bank accounts, and manage Cash-Flow projections

You will also have to

• Coordinate annual external, internal audits and treasury operations

• Participate in the annual budget process

• Develop and implement process improvements, accounting policies and internal controls

• Participate in annual planning process

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or business administration, or equivalent experience (CPA title is an asset)

• Minimum of 5 years in accounting and production of internal financial statements, combined with experience in staff supervision

• Proficiency in Excel

• French: fluent, English: an asset

• Experience in Real estate is an asset
